one-off at the wrist

Dredd, movie 2012

Saw this last night. A much more ‘functional’ character than in the 1995 Stallone vehicle [which tried to stay closer to the source material?] but lacking in the sci-fi futuristicness of the comic or that earlier film. Which I think is the biggest failing. After all Mega City One is supposed to be a 600 million strong sprawling mess of humanity living on top of one another in a clapped out world; hence the high crime rate.

At least Dredd keeps his helmet on this time out. Come along way in 37 years!
