one-off at the wrist

Blacksad – A Silent Hell, 2012, Dark Horse Books

I started to read this excellent graphic novel today. Shame more European works don’t make it into English. Very clever noirish stories set in late 1950s America. All of the characters are anthropomorphic animals whose species reflects their personality, character type and role in the story.

Apparently in 2006 a film version was mooted but came to nought. Depending on the style intended [animation, CGI, rotoscoping etc] I think the narrative would  lend itself very easily to a very interesting enterprise.
